The National Lottery is funding about a quarter of the budget for the London 2012 Games.

The Olympic Lottery Distributor is responsible for distributing National Lottery funds and we are accountable to Parliament. Our main funding recipient is the Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) which is tasked with building the venues and infrastructure for the Games. Other funders are the Government, the Mayor of London, the London Development Agency and Sport England .
The staging of the London 2012 Games is the responsibility of the London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games Ltd (LOCOG). They receive income from commercial partners, broadcasters and ticket sales. The preparations for the London 2012 Games is being overseen by the Olympic Board which brings together the Government, the Mayor of London, the British Olympic Association and LOCOG. |
