Transformers is a small grants programme managed by the East London Business Alliance (ELBA) running from September 2010 to December 2012. Grants support innovative projects in the areas of sport, culture, increasing health and wellbeing, safer communities and raising aspirations.  All applicants were required to show how their project encouraged communities to work together and linked to Olympic and Paralympic values. The National Lottery is, through the Olympic Lottery Distributor, contributing £1,951,265.55 to the Transformers small grants scheme.

The 3rd and final round for Transformers applications closed in late 2011 and grant has been awarded to a total of 73 community projects across the three rounds.

ELBA is also running regular events where project leaders can come together to make connections and share learning.
